The mission of Charles River Community Health (CRCH) is to partner with individuals and families so they can thrive and lead healthier lives by delivering the comprehensive, integrated, and equitable primary healthcare that matters most to them. The Community Health Worker (Spanish) will serve as a frontline public health worker and medical interpreter. As part of a dynamic team at CRCH, a healthcare practice providing compassionate care to underserved communities, the Community Health Worker (CHW) will serve as a frontline public health worker and interrupter.
The CHW is a trusted member of the community and has a strong understanding of the Spanish-speaking communities. The CHW serves as a liaison between the health provider and social services and the community/patients. As such, the CHW will facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. If you have a calming presence, excel at understanding patient needs, and are willing to work on educating patients about the importance of health screenings, we would like to have you as part of our team. The CHW will work as a team member at our health center and will interact with patients and staff who are racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse, so being culturally competent is required.
