YOUR ROLE & IMPACT

The mission of Charles River Community Health (CRCH) is to partner with individuals and families so they can thrive and lead healthier lives by delivering the comprehensive, integrated, and equitable primary healthcare that matters most to them. CRCH is in search of several experienced primary care providers to provide mentorship and guidance on an unpaid, volunteer basis to our early career primary care providers, with an emphasis on building professional and clinical confidence and capabilities . As a Volunteer PCP Mentor, you will hold individual meetings, ideally on-site at our Brighton, MA location (and virtually as needed), with a small group of assigned MDs, NPs, and/or PAs. You will also help mentees understand the balance of providing efficient care, including techniques for streamlining charting and managing patient visits, particularly in urgent care settings. Given CRCH’s focus on underserved populations, you will guide mentees in developing strategies for treating patients with complex clinical and Social Determinants of Health needs, while meeting the center’s budget and quality goals.

TIME EXPECTATIONS:

Mentee will not provide patient identifiers when reviewing cases or clinical questions.

  • Provide expert guidance and e intervention to mentees if applicable.
  • Provide bi-weekly feedback sessions to help mentees identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Hold monthly check-ins with the Chief Clinical Officer to discuss mentee progress and overall program goals.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, TRAITS
